If anything was learned today, it was that Prussia would do anything just to spite Austria. Even learn to play the piano.

Scales. Chords. More scales. Broken Triads. Trills. More chords. It went on like this for a little over an hour, with the odd reminder to stop slouching, and the occasional whack on the wrist for hands not being in the proper position.

Everything continued just fine. That is, everything was fine until Gilbert got bored of playing the same scales over and over, and over again. There was a horrible clatter of keys being slammed down on all at once. Roderich's face twisted downwards into a scowl, quickly glancing down at the keys to see that the ivory hadn't been chipped. He opened his mouth to object, but Prussia had beaten him to it with his own complaint. "When are you going to teach me something interesting!" The pale man groaned, slumping forwards in his seat on the bench. "I'm bored of this, it's going nowhere! I mean, really! Enough of this beginner crap, a two year old could figure out how to do this shit."

An unamused hum and a thump on the back of the head came in response to Gilbert's whining. "First, stop smacking things like a child, you're going to damage the piano." Austria huffed, shooting Prussia a frustrated look. "And what did I tell you about the slouching? You can't play if you can't even sit properly. I swear, you don't listen to anything I've said."

"Oh, I listen. I just don't care." Came Prussia's cheeky response, earning a small sigh from Austria as he started flipping through a pile of sheet music, pulling out a few pages and setting them in front of Gilbert. He starred at the notes and squinted. "The heck is this garbage?"

Roderich shrugged, standing up and crossing his arms. "You're obviously the musical expert here, Prussia. Figure it out." He gave the Prussian a condescending smile, walking out of the room. He barely glanced back, and he added, "When you've given up, there's cakes in the parlor."

Less than an hour later, the two were sitting and having coffee. Gilbert was as smug as ever, and Roderich, annoyed yet begrudgingly impressed. If anything was learned today, it was that Prussia would do anything just to spite Austria. Even learn to play the piano.
